My tip would be to measure where you’d like your quilt to hang and place your nails in the wall about 2 inches in from where the ends of your quilt will be. Loosen the knobs and place your quilt in the quilt hanger with about an inch hanging out on the ends. . Tighten the knobs until your quilt is gently but securely snug. Place the hangers on the nails in your wall. If there’s sagging due to your quilt hangers too close, just loosen the knobs and have a little more quilt hanging out from the ends. If your quilt is wider than 36” wide…you might consider purchasing another quilt hanger to go in the middle of your quilt to prevent pulling or sagging of your quilt due to the weight of the quilt.
